Javanese Letter Typewriter

This machine began to be used since 1917 by the Surakarta palace, used primarily for typing correspondence, decisions (kekancingan dalem), official announcements regarding the "Titah Ingkah Sinuhun" for the wider community and various court proceedings reports. Meanwhile, during the independence period, it was used to type Government announcements in Javanese letters, which were disseminated to the Central Java and East Java regions until 1960.

Javanese typewriter has physical characteristics made of iron, rubber, plastic. This typewriter has Javanese lettered keys on the chrome-colored keyboard. The body and engine mechanism are black. On the front is the inscription "Royal Barlock". The Javanese typewriter has a height of 23 cm, a length of 40 cm, and a width of 40 cm.
