MUSEUM GATOT SUBROTO

In the past, this museum is the home residence of the industrious european who likely built around the 1930s, it can be seen from the architecture and materials of the house. This house consists of the main house and the living-room support (service area) located in the rear. In the 1950s, the house was then bought and reconstructed by Mr. Gatot Soebroto, as a resting place when he is non-active in military service in 1953.

This Museum is a private residence, General Gatot Soebroto, the museum is built from the initiative of the large family of Gatot Soebroto as a museum memoir will be services as well as the story of his life during his service in military and personal life in a family. General TNI (Anm.) Gatot Soebroto was born in Jatilawang Purwokerto Banyumas on October 10, 1907, is a figure in the struggle of the Indonesian military in independence, and also a national hero of Indonesia. In addition, he is also a national figure who lived in three different era. He had been a Soldier of the Dutch east Indies army (KNIL), a member of the Defenders of the homeland (MAP) in the period of Japanese occupation, and join in the People's Security Army (TKR) in the period after the independence of Indonesia.

SPACE COLLECTION

1. Living room

2. Work Space
This room is the work of Mr. Gatot Soebroto during occupy the house in Ungaran. 3. Living Room
