One form of puppet custom new or modern puppet is a Puppet of the Revolution or the Puppet Struggle. Modern puppet appears due to the communication needs of a growing community in the field of puppet. This puppet is the creation of a mastermind of the Palace Mangkunegara, Solo named Raden Mas Sayid in the 1950s. In addition to R. M. Sayyid, in Surakarta, there are also creating the modern puppet of this kind are called ‘Wayang Rides namely R. M. Sutarto Hardjawahana in the 1920s.
Figures in Wayang Revolution describe the figures of the present (contemporary) which indeed plays a role at that time, such as Soekarno-Hatta international airport, fighters of the revolution, the Dutch army, and the people. Story-the story of a Puppet of the Revolution were taken from real events such as the bombing of Hiroshima, the battle between the Dutch army with the army of students and so on.
